SAVE THE DUCK
The Milan-based fashion label, SAVE THE DUCK, for women, men and kids is a clothing brand of the Italian Forest SRL group. Launched in 2012, the fashion brand draws on the craftsmanship of more than 100 years of company history. The award-winning animal-free outdoor jackets and other clothing for men feature trendy designs, tailored cuts, and the use of the latest functional fibers.
The trendy fashion brand
The company’s founder Forest Bargi opened a small sewing workshop in Paese, Veneto, in 1914. The creative tailor first sewed men’s suits for a few cents. With a lot of entrepreneurial spirit and craftsmanship, he started his career as a clothing specialist for custom-made women’s and men’s fashion.
Subsequently, Nicolas Bargi led the third generation of the Forest Group. With the launch of high-end lifestyle brands such as Ganesh and SAVE THE DUCK, the already locally successful Milanese fashion label conquered the international fashion market as well. In 2014, it was sold to Altana SPA which operates in the DACH region.
The label’s hallmarks are innovative high-tech materials and modern styles with a twist of Italian nonchalance.
The practical all-weather functional fashion is already ironically interpreted in the brand logo with a funny wink. The little black duckling on an orange circle whistles carefree and symbolizes the brand’s credo: the relaxed mix’n match with colors, shapes and materials.
The casual outdoor fashion for men features color designs that combine well, trendy two-tone looks and original cutting techniques.
The key pieces of SAVE THE DUCK’s collections are the lightweight, super soft and thin quilted jackets of the popular Giga series. Folded flat, the warming lightweights fit in any briefcase.
The label’s easy-care all-weather jackets are equally suitable for sports, leisure, and business – whether in an elegant single-breasted blazer style with large pockets, in asymmetrical lengths as a stand-up collar version or in a contrasting mixed materials with differently textured surfaces. The built-in reversible function for double styling fun is another special highlight.
Windbreakers made from high quality materials
The SAVE THE DUCK quilted jackets and quilted vests are not just beautiful to look at, but also offer the highest level of technical finesse. Innovative nylon fibers with a special lining have a wind-repellent and moisture-absorbing effect and provide a short drying time. The patented Plumtech fiber is as light as down with the comfort of thermal synthetic padding. Specially welded, waterproof seams also provide durable rain protection for the stylish four-season weather jackets.
The excellent thermal insulation and properties guarantee 100 percent breathability for all outdoor activities. For its consistent commitment to animal welfare, the Italian fashion brand received the German PETA Vegan Fashion Award in 2014. In 2015, the completely vegan, down-free collection pieces (only authentic with label patch and code number) were awarded the Animal-Free Fashion Certificate.
SAVE THE DUCK sets new trends in functional fashion not only with its sophisticated material compositions. The young casual label is also causing a sensation with its elegant slim styles and is setting an example in pioneering vegan fashion production.
