Eau Capitale is a tribute to Paris, the French capital and birthplace of diptyque. For diptyque, only Chypre came to mind—only a legendary accord with a hundred facets can pay tribute to the city with a hundred faces.

Olivier Pescheux, a renowned perfumer and loyal companion to the brand, has given Chypre a new lease of life in the light of the 21st century. Together with diptyque, he interprets this legendary accord as follows: the particularly green bergamot lends a lively and long-lasting freshness. The floral rose bouquet is composed of three extracts of Damascena rose (essence, absolute, concentrate), revealing different facets of this rose. Instead of oakmoss, the perfumer uses patchouli, a patchouli "coeur" - which makes the fragrance appear lighter than traditional patchouli.

The Eiffel Tower, roses, flowing calligraphy, a peacock spreading its tail, swirls, intertwined lines... To illustrate Eau Capitale, diptyque and Pierre Marie found inspiration in Parisian architecture and the emblematic monuments of Art Nouveau.
