FROM THE PERFUMER
When the world first started craving gourmand fragrances, I was reluctant to simply recreate the aroma of a bakery. But over time, I asked myself, “How do you create something sweet that isn’t too sweet?” I’ve tried my hand at it a few times before, but this new creation really takes the cake. For me, it’s the ideal balance of sweetness, spices, floral notes, and vanilla resin.
The fragrance was inspired by one of my favorite desserts: date cake. Just a few doors down from the first D.S. & Durga store, there used to be an Australian shop where I discovered the first date cake of my life. That balance of dark, malty aromas, alluring spices, and warm vanilla—the perfect sweetness. A perfume with a strong presence. Elegant and perfect for long nights with your favorite person. A fragrance that lingers as long as the memory of the perfect dessert.
