Limited Edition With a shimmering violet cap, the iconic Chapeau!—in the form of Acqua di Parma’s Art Deco bottle—brings the notes of Fico di Amalfi into your space with an unexpected twist.
As a playful nod to Dorothée Meilichzon’s two-in-one Chapeau! candle, the new Fico di Amalfi Edition features a violet-colored cap made of glazed stoneware that also serves as a 330-gram candle with a wick.
The handcrafted porcelain base forms a second candle with five wicks and a weight of 1,600 grams. It preserves the pure, clean design of its characteristic shape and ensures even, wide-reaching illumination.
Crafted with the utmost care, the base begins as a so-called “biscuit”—a term for unglazed porcelain that, after shaping and firing, is sanded for up to 30 minutes to achieve a smooth surface while still retaining its raw, tactile quality.
This creates an elegant contrast to the lid, which is first glazed and then fired. To ensure the vibrancy of the violet hue, an additional layer of glaze is applied before the piece is fired again—the result is a glossy, refined finish.
The hand-embossed plaque on each candle is a modern reinterpretation of the iconic Acqua di Parma label, while the hand-finished cap and hand-poured wax underscore the fine craftsmanship of the handmade process.
The candle exudes notes reminiscent of the Amalfi Coast, with enveloping, gentle scents of fig trees under bright sunshine.
Lively top notes of bergamot, lemon, grapefruit, and cedarwood meet accents of fig nectar, pink pepper, and jasmine blossoms. The base note unfolds into a harmonious blend of fig wood, cedarwood, and benzoin resin.
