Preparing the room - Place the candle on a flat, heat-resistant surface. - Protect delicate materials such as wood or marble by placing the candle on a tray or coaster. - Keep the candle away from flammable materials. - Store the candle out of the reach of children and pets. Lighting the candle - Use a match to avoid the risk of burns. - When burning the candle for the first time, let it burn until the entire wax surface has melted, approximately 4 hours depending on the scent. This prevents tunneling and ensures that the wick is fully saturated, which guarantees even burning thereafter. The wick may smoke slightly when first lit. While the candle is burning - After the first burn, do not let the candle burn for more than 4 hours at a time. - Never leave a burning candle unattended. - Do not move a candle while it is burning or while the wax is still hot. - Keep the candle away from drafts. - Leave at least 10 cm of space between candles.
