Il Calamaio, Italian for “inkwell,” evokes the memory of Ermenegildo Zegna entering his study. The leather scent of his armchair mingles with the inky notes of a freshly printed newspaper.

The leathery amber scent opens with a smoky ink accord, unfolds into an elegant Turkish rose, and concludes with the deep, intense note of oud.

Presented in a black bottle with a soft color gradient reminiscent of the ink from the newspapers that accompanied Ermenegildo Zegna’s daily rituals, the fragrance is completed by a magnetic cap made of ash wood. It is stained in a deep walnut tone and finished with the silver emblem of the ZEGNA family crest.

The packaging features a distinctive cutout symbolizing the 232 Road Brand Mark. A vintage stamp from the Oasi Zegna wool mill completes the look and is color-coordinated with the bottle.
