I Don’t Know What is a wonderful tool for anyone who enjoys experimenting with scents. Of course, the fragrance can also be worn on its own as a modern, wonderfully transparent scent—but it’s also perfect for layering with just about any other perfume.
I often wear a hint of sandalwood, rose, jasmine, patchouli, or oud. These fragrance oils are beautiful, but they can feel a bit heavy and often last only a few hours. When you spray “I Don’t Know What” over them, it transforms the oil into a true perfume. What makes it special is that, in the classical sense, the fragrance does not rely on any actual fragrance notes. Instead, it’s based on a secret combination of fragrance ingredients that perfumers use to highlight and enhance individual facets. A bergamot accord provides freshness, vetiver acetate adds a subtle amber note, firsantol delivers long-lasting sandalwood, and Iso E Super offers a transparent radiance. You can imagine the fragrance as a building consisting solely of its structure—without any furnishings. You can fill the interior yourself: with a fragrance oil, a favorite perfume, or even an older fragrance that you’d like to breathe new life into.
