For a smooth eyeliner line, apply in short strokes along the lash line, starting at the outer half of the eye and working inward.

For a winged eyeliner look, extend the line slightly beyond the outer corner of the eye, then gently sweep your finger over the lower part of the line to extend it into a sharp line.
