Here you’ll find tips on refilling, lifespan, and safe use.

Refilling the candle

• When the wax level is down to about 5 mm or the metal base of the wick becomes visible, the candle is burned out.
• Once the wax has cooled, place the candle in a bowl of water heated to 60 °C/140 °F so that the glass is submerged halfway in the water. Wait two minutes for the wax to soften.
• Remove the wax from the water using a knife with a rounded tip. Slide the blade between the glass and the edges of the soft wax disc, then slide the knife underneath it. Lift out the loosened wax disc and dispose of it in the trash.
• Wash and dry the inside of the glass.
• Remove the replacement candle from its container.
• Remove the lid, turn the refill candle upside down, and tap the bottom of the container firmly once or twice while protecting the wax surface to gently loosen the wax block.
• Place the wax block into the glass.

Your candle is now ready for use.

Preparing the Location

• Place your candle on a flat, heat-resistant surface.
• Protect sensitive materials such as wood or marble with a coaster or tray.
• Keep candles away from flammable materials.
• Keep candles out of the reach of children and pets.

Lighting the Candle

• We recommend lighting your candle with a match to avoid burns.
• When lighting the candle for the first time, be sure to let it burn until an even layer of melted wax has formed (approximately 4 hours, depending on the scent). This prevents a tunnel from forming in the wax and allows the wick to properly absorb the wax, ensuring even burning. Wicks may produce a small amount of smoke when first lit.

While burning

• After lighting the candle for the first time, do not let it burn for more than 4 hours at a time.
• Never leave a burning candle unattended.
• Do not move a burning candle or one that is still hot and has just been extinguished.
• Keep it away from drafts.
• Leave a space of at least 10 cm (4 inches) between two candles.

After each use

• Extinguishing the flame: Use a candle snuffer to avoid hot wax splatters.
• Recenter the wick as soon as the candle has gone out.
• Before relighting, trim the wick with a wick trimmer (ideal length: 3 to 5 mm) to prevent fire hazards.

Final Note

• Stop using your candle when only 5 mm of wax remains or the metal wick holder becomes visible.

Care & Storage

• We recommend ventilating the room after burning a candle.
• Allow the wax to cool completely before moving your candle.
• Store it in a dry, temperate place (15 °C–25 °C / 59 °F–77 °F), protected from direct sunlight, to prevent discoloration, pigmentation, or the wax from peeling off.
