Legend has it that an apple fell from a tree onto Newton's head—and thus the theory of universal gravitation was born. But let's imagine a different scene—Newton sleeping under a rose bush. And instead of an apple, a flower falls, a huge rose, a completely fragrant, fleshy rose. Would he have felt it? Would he have dipped his face into the heart of the flower? And what would that mean for his theory?
This fragrance: a chypre! And a very precise and clearly defined formula, like something that suddenly and directly falls on you. And never lets you go. A fragrance trail that lingers. Akigalawood and patchouli for a honey-sweet rose.
Newton, forgive us! Your decisive experiment showed us that colors are not properties of objects, but properties of light. Thanks to you, we now know that white light is a mixture of rays with the nuances of the rainbow. You also showed us that just because an object IS red does not mean that we see it as red. If it appears red to our visual perception, it is because when illuminated by a white light source (e.g., sunlight), its surface absorbs all the colored light rays that compose it EXCEPT the red ones.
So forgive us for being inspired by your experimentum crucis! You have been the inspiration and source of criticism for so many. And just as your theory changed our worldview, we have tried to create a fragrance that will change the world.
