To turn on the ghd chronos max styler, press and hold the ON/OFF button for at least 1 second. The ghd chronos max styler will play a short start-up tune and both lights will pulse to indicate that the styler is heating up. 3. IMPORTANT: the ghd chronos max styler reaches the required temperature in seconds, so be careful not to touch the heater plates. Once the ghd chronos max styler has reached temperature, it will bleep and the lights will remain illuminated to indicate that it is ready to use. 4. To indicate when the ghd chronos max styler is operating in High Definition Predictive mode, the rear light will quickly pulse from dim to bright until the unit senses that the styling session is complete. 5. To re-start the ghd chronos max while it is in sleep mode, simply press and hold the ON/OFF button for at least 1 second until the start-up tune sounds. b. Protect Mode: the ghd chronos max styler can protect itself against adverse events or power fluctuations, for safety the heaters will turn off, the ghd chronos max styler will emit a bleep and the light will flash white every five seconds. Fail safe: in the unlikely event of a control system error, for safety the heaters will turn off, the ghd chronos max styler will emit bleeps and the light will flash red every 5 seconds.
