THE CREATION
Created in 2005, the Eau de Toilette Un Jardin sur le Nil evokes an olfactory journey to the island gardens of Aswan. Perfumer Jean-Claude Ellena tells the story of this river, which stands for life and generosity.
THE FRAGRANCE NOTES
The green-woody Eau de Toilette Un Jardin sur le Nil blends green mango, delicate lotus blossom, and elegant sycamore.
THE OBJECT
Designed by Fred Rawyler, the bottle is inspired by the lanterns of horse-drawn carriages of yesteryear. With its green gradient, the glass of the bottle is reminiscent of the banks of the Nile. The packaging was decorated with a blooming lotus by artist Véronique de Mareuil.
THE PARFUMS-JARDINS COLLECTION
The Parfums-Jardins collection represents the encounter between the soul of a place, the inspiration of the perfumer, and the theme that Hermès chooses each year for its creations. It is an olfactory journey that fulfills all desires and longings: the longing for freshness, for reverie, and for escape from everyday life.
"A new kind of freshness with green plant notes and a scent of sand and water." Jean-Claude Ellena.
Un Jardin sur le Nil is an impressionistic stroll through the garden islands on the Nile near Aswan, the starting point for this new fragrance journey. This refreshing ode revolves around green mango, lotus blossom, incense, calamus, and sycamore.
