THE CREATION
The Hermessence fragrance Cuir d'Ange is based on a literary emotion. Inspired by a work by Jean Giono, and in particular his word creation "Cuir d'Ange," perfumer Jean-Claude Ellena worked on a leathery note: "I wanted to recreate the love affair between leather and skin in the form of a poem. Gentle and soft, full of tension and tenderness, leather and musk."

THE FRAGRANCE NOTES
The delicate fragrance creation Cuir d'Ange combines a soft leather accord with enveloping musk. A Hermessence fragrance that is suitable for both men and women.

THE OBJECT
The glass bottle of Cuir d'Ange is coated with a natural sand beige lacquer, the same shade as the leather cap.

THE HERMÈS DETAIL
The house's iconic "lantern" bottle embodies the unique and timeless style of Hermès. The leather cap, decorated with the typical saddle stitch, is adorned with a "Clou de selle" engraving by Hermès Sellier.

"I had long wanted to reveal the significance of literature for me in a perfume. Above all, I wanted to reflect my relationship with the work of Jean Giono. Then I remembered a term from the novel Jean le Bleu: 'cuir d'ange' – angel leather. Through scents that are my words, I wanted to recreate the love affair between leather and skin in the form of a poem. Gentle and soft, full of tension and tenderness.
