Eau d’Hermès is the first perfume created by Hermès. Created in 1951 by perfumer Edmond Roudnitska, it evokes the “scent of a perfume that emanates from an Hermès bag.”

THE FRAGRANCE NOTES
With its fresh citrus notes, Eau d'Hermès is an eau de toilette in which tangy petitgrain lemon and spicy-fresh cardamom combine with warm cinnamon notes.

THE OBJECT
The bottle is inspired by the lanterns of horse-drawn carriages of yesteryear, and the black cap is reminiscent of the shape of a riding helmet. The fragrance's affiliation with the Parfums-Fondateurs collection is indicated on the label on the back, which features a motif by Philippe Dumas.
