Our promise

Clean formulas. WASO stands for high-quality ingredients that have been carefully selected for their nourishing properties.

Clinical efficacy. The efficacy of our products has been clinically confirmed by internal and independent laboratories. WASO visibly and demonstrably combats skin problems.

Food-grade ingredients. Our Japanese ingredients yuzu, shikuwasa lime, satokibi (sugar cane), and koshihikari (rice) meet food standards.

Vegan. Our formulas do not contain any ingredients of animal origin or animal derivatives, in line with Shiseido's animal welfare policy.

Our contribution. Through our collaboration with local farmers, we aim to specifically promote the regional, sustainable cultivation of Shikuwasa lime. This cooperation also enables us to trace 100% of the entire production process of our key ingredients (yuzu, shikuwasa lime, satokibi, koshihikari).

Water-saving production. We have succeeded in reducing the amount of fresh water used in the production process by using recovered water from apple juice distillation instead.

Recycling. Our jars are made from 95% recycled plastic – for greater sustainability.

Upcycling. We believe in the power of transformation – that's why the lids of our sustainable packaging are made from 30% rice husks.
