The original Peacock Throne was created for the Mughal emperor of India in the early 17th century. The platform, made of pure gold, was encrusted with rubies, emeralds, pearls, and diamonds. It was later stolen as a war trophy by the Shah of Iran and taken to Iran. Today, the Peacock Throne is considered lost. At the heart of this spicy-floral fragrance lies the Ta'if rose with its ruby-colored luminosity, full of opulence and extravagance.
