STUART WEITZMAN
The creative shoe models of the STUART WEITZMAN label are almost too good to wear. The eponymous designer is known for creating small works of art for the feet. His sense for innovative and extravagant design pays off: He now sells his collections in more than 70 countries and the STUART WEITZMAN brand is one of the top names in the high-end shoe sector worldwide.
STUART WEITZMAN stands for the “American dream”
And not only because his shoes are fantastically beautiful. But also because he rose from being the son of a factory owner to one of the most renowned luxury designers in the world. Born in 1942, Weitzman has been rooted in the shoe business since his childhood: his father, Seymour Weitzman, owned a small shoe factory in Massachusetts, and Stuart began designing new models in his youth. After his father's death in the mid-1960s, Stuart and his brother took over production, but sold it after a few years. It was not until 1994 that the American designer bought back the shoe factory and started designing his STUART WEITZMAN collections.
Luxury of the extraordinary kind
The trademark of STUART WEITZMAN is the use of unusual materials. He not only uses cork, wallpaper, Plexiglas or vinyl in his creations, but also real gold, for example. The cuts, colors and appliqués also clearly set his models apart from the mass-produced goods. Weitzman's philosophy: shoes should make the wearer feel glamorous. With his inspiring and elegant models, he has achieved this goal. Thanks to the glamor and luxury inherent in his shoes, STUART WEITZMANs are a favorite on the red carpets. Among others, he outfits the stars at the Oscar Awards. Nevertheless, his fashion is suitable for everyday wear. While shimmering pumps or sandals shine at special evening events, simpler versions, such as ballet flats and moccasins in solid-colored suede or smooth leather, are the perfect companions for the office. Whether you prefer the extravagant or inconspicuous style: quality materials and a high-quality finish are common to all STUART WEITZMAN shoes.
