With its robust properties, bamboo is a popular material in Scandinavian furniture design. Unlike other tree species, bamboo regrows in the same spot when it is cut down. Since bamboo also grows exceptionally quickly, it is a fantastic raw material.

Although bamboo is as hard as oak, it’s a good idea to treat the stool with a colorless oil. The oil preserves the warm hue of the bamboo and saturates the top layer for greater resistance to wear and stains. It’s important not to cover the bamboo or expose it to heat or moisture, as this can cause the wood to discolor.
