The history of the Spanish label begins in 1846, when the German emigrant Enrique Loewe, together with two Madrid artisans, founded a collective for the production of leather goods. Their enthusiastic passion for traditional craftsmanship drives the trio and leads them to lay the foundation for one of the most successful luxury labels of the present day.

To this day, the impressive LOEWE designs are created in the Spanish metropolises of Madrid and Barcelona – a tribute to the homeland of the brand and to Loewe's heritage.

Tradition meets innovation

LOEWE sets new standards in leather processing. The key pieces from the luxury label have always included impressively crafted leather goods such as classic belts, elegant bags and exclusive wallets. Attractive decorative seams characterize the range, just like the iconic anagram, which consists of four initials turned towards each other.

LOEWE has developed its unique expertise through constant progress, which is driven by passing on traditional knowledge, and establishing new approaches. The Irish-born designer marks a new era at LOEWE, and with his avant-garde designs manifests a fresh interpretation of the classic style of the brand. Here, too, a future-oriented symbiosis of convention and modernity takes place. Anderson provides new concepts in both clothing and accessories and lets LOEWE shine with a confident and refreshed attitude.

From casual T-shirts and loose capes, to elegant cardigans and classic sweaters, to couture-like dresses and popular handbags – Jonathan Anderson ensures the successful establishment of the re-design of LOEWE. His stroke of genius is the GATE handbag line, which got its name from the metal pin detail and defines Anderson's collections everywhere.

Individuality through elegant minimalism

In the 1960s, LOEWE launched its first fashion collection, characterized by soft suede and subtle colors. To this day, natural materials and a scaled-back color spectrum are omnipresent, resulting in the distinctive DNA of the brand: minimalist, sleek and unmistakable.
