American Vintage
What does a former French electrician do when he can't even make enough money to live by delivering pizza? The answer is simple: he becomes a fashion designer. This is the success story of Michael Azoulay and his label American Vintage. In 2001, he debuted with designs for a women's line and four years later he finally created the unique style of American Vintage.
Simple, modern fashion for everyday life
Nothing about this brand reminds of dusty attics where patchwork jeans can be found. On the contrary, innovative design meets coziness and modernity meets old fashion. According to the designer, it's mainly basics that belong in every wardrobe. Therefore, Azoulay mainly designs fashion for lovers of cozy hoodies, plain T-shirts or trendy cardigans. Bold and colorful designs are not in the repertoire of the fashion label. American Vintage tends to strike a quieter note and is very successful with it, as shown at the opening of its stores in Paris, Lyon, Madrid or Athens. Soft flowing fabrics such as cotton or cashmere make the collection so pleasant to wear. The clothes not only look calm and mature due to the classic design, but also because the colors are held in the background. Instead, there are many muted pastel shades in the range. American Vintage is above all something for minimalists, whose perfectionism also shows in the choice of clothes.
There is no alternative to American Vintage
Lastly, it must to be said that American Vintage is a must-have for friends of cultivated leisure looks. Classic cuts and light fabrics guarantee high comfort. The large selection of basics offers the right garment for everyone.
