when the switch is off.
To reduce the risk of electrocution:
Never operate this appliance
if it is not working properly,

1.Only use with 110–240V, 50-60 Hz power supply.
2. The appliance should never be left unattended when plugged in.
3.Keep the power cord away from heated surfaces. Do not wrap the power
cord around the appliance. Do not hang the ghd styler by the power cord.
4.Always unplug the ghd styler immediately after using.
5.Do not use an extension power cord with this appliance.
6.Do not use a voltage inverter or generator with
this appliance.
7.Your ghd product is a class II electrical appliance
and should not be connected to an earth connection.
warning: hot surfaces
The ghd styler heater plates are hot for effective styling.
To reduce the risk of burns:
1. NEVER touch the hot styler plates.
2. When not styling always lay the ghd styler on a flat heat-resistant surface
such as a ghd styler heat mat.
3. When styling is complete, always switch off the ghd styler and unplug
it from the power supply.
4. Wait for the ghd styler to cool before storing.
5. After styling the plates remain hot – for safe cooling cover the plates
with the heat proof plate guard.
6. When the ghd styler has cooled, fold the power cord in the same way as it
was first delivered in its packaging. Do not wind it around your hand or the
body of the ghd styler as this can lead to early failure of the power cord.
7. Always place the appliance with the stand, if any, on a heat-resistant, stable
flat surface.

Ensure that hair is completely dry before using the ghd styler.
1. Plug the ghd styler into the power supply
2. And switch on the ghd styler. The ghd styler emits a beep and the switch
illuminates with a slow pulsing light to indicate that it is heating up.
3. When it reaches the required temperature the ghd styler emits three beeps
and the light changes to be on continuously to indicate that the ghd styler
is ready for you to begin styling.
The ghd styler has the following safety features:
1. Sleep mode: if the ghd styler has not been used for 30 minutes then
for safety the heaters will be turned off and the ghd styler will go into sleep
mode, indicated by the light flashing and a warning beep every 10 seconds.
a. Note that although the heaters are turned off, the ghd styler is still
switched on and connected to the power supply – the ghd styler should
be switched off and unplugged at the earliest opportunity.
b. To re-start the ghd styler from sleep mode, simply switch the ghd styler
off and on again.
2. Fail safe: in the event of a control system error, the light will pulse once
and will then go out, the heaters will be turned off, and the ghd styler will
emit a rapid beep. You should return the ghd styler to ghd for inspection
under the terms of the ghd styler guarantee.
